01.13.08- Happy New Year - We would like to thank all of the website and individuals that have placed links and banners back to My Blood Ties on their websites. While there are many websites out there with deep pocketed profit minded companies backing them with advertising dollars, we are still very happy with out growth. We are a volunteer organization and truly appreciated the donations of members and staff to help pay the monthly advertising and hosting costs. We are looking at giving the website a new look as the website has not changed in the last year. A new look would look nice. We have over 100 sign-ups a month, but not everyone is finishing the sign-up process. Our process is truly sorting out the people that just want to get to your information. We look forward to a new year with all current members as well as new members with hopes to bringing families back together.

01.31.07- Wonderful NEWS -While we can not claim the prize on the finding of my older sister, who I have stated before my mother and I have long been looking for all these years, I am happy to say my old sister, who was put up for adoption in 1971 has found us. Through some changes in the laws in Virginia , the child can work with social services to open their records and search for their parents. Social Services does the work of tracking down both parents to see if they are willing and want to make a connection. If they do, they process the paperwork and then and only then disclose the information to both parties. The other thing I find karma playing in is the full circle of my grandfather. He is the one that forced my mother to give up her daughter for adoption; it was his death certificated that lead the state back to my mother. I wanted to share this news with everyone. This means half my personal battle is over, we still need to find my wife's parents. 
               I am working with our site programmer to make a few mods to the site. We have had hundreds of people signing up and finding the site, yet they for some reason do not submit the final payment of the $24.95 for 18 months. We have worked hard to keep this 18 month cycle in place and not lower it to the original 12 months we were expecting. So we can make it clear, we do not have this site up as a for profit business. We have to pay for the hosting, bandwidth, programmer and most of all the advertising. We paid out a few thousand dollars to Google alone last year. That being only one method of the overall international advertising. We have picked up a lot of signups for people throughout Europe and as well. I hope this helps to explain that the $24.95 is really a small fee to make all of this possible. 
               If anyone would like to put up banners, share their experience or help promote MyBloodTies.com, Please contact us. If you have the ability to assist financial or advertising support we would love to talk to you. We are also looking at building up a fund to help those that would like to be in the registry, but can not afford it be able to be listed. I am currently going to contact all those that have signed up and not paid this last year, and give them the opportunity to OPT out, and we will make them active in our system in celibration of finding a family member. We want everyone to share in this joy.

04.09.06- We are now pleased to announce the addition of My Blood Ties Secure Live Chat into the members section. Members can now make a username and log into the secure members chat system. Members will enter the Lobby and from there they can change to other rooms or create their own. As well as standard text chat, members can also hook up a microphone and webcam and have full audio/video chat with other members.  This is a great way to share and communicate with other members that share and understand what you are going through. This is also a great place to carry on extended communications and potential first time views after making a potential match and having progressed through the initial internal messaging system.

04.07.06 - We have had a great response from those that have signed up and checked out the site. Most like the idea that we take their personal information very personal. We know there are other sites out there, but unlike those sites, we have no adverting, and we do not disclose your information to anyone ever. While most people have no issue with the small fee, some have asked why we charge. This is a valid question and we have no issues answering. Charging keeps all the pranks and spam listings out of the database, it allows us to pay for the servers and the bandwidth of the server and hosting, it allows us to advertise through media sources around the world with the goal of being the worlds #1 website for bringing people back together. Many people spend thousands of dollars to hire a private investigator to get nothing in return. We can not guarantee a match, but we do promise to do everything we can to get the site into the publics eye, to raise awareness.

04.03.06 - We at My Blood Ties, an Internation Adoption Registry, are happy to announce that we are now officially up and running. We were to originally launch with just the United States at first. But, through the hard work and determination of our outstanding head programmer we are launching with full international registry support. This is very important to us as well as many persons of adoption as we are seeing more and more international adoptions taking place. We are working hard for the next phase of being an international database. We are working to translate the site into all the languages we can. 03.31.06 - We at MyBloodTies.com, an International Adoption Registry, are working hard to prepare for the long anticipated launch of the MyBloodTies.com web site. The anticipated Official Launch is Monday April 3, 2006. We are putting out feelers for companies of like minds that can assist us in putting together some very special packages or offers for people that are able to make positive matches through MyBloodTies.com's international adoption registry database. These companies would be strictly verified and would have no direct access to anyone in our database. Their packages or offers, if accepted would be placed on a separate page for clients and potential clients to view. We maintain the security and privacy of all clients. A special package we would like to get off the ground at the start would be securing 2 roundtrip airline ticket vouchers for the 1st verified matched persons. These tickets or vouchers would need to be open as we do not know when the first match will take place.
